Participation Fees
Participation fees for IIPE 2010 are $750 USD.
All fees must be paid in full by Friday, June 11, a little more than a month in advance of the Institute. Having these funds in advance is necessary to secure our accommodations and other important arrangements. A late fee of $75 US Dollars will be charged for payments received after the deadline. Cancellations must be made no later than June 25. We cannot refund fees for cancellations made after this date.

If the credit card being used is not in the name of the participant please also be sure to include the participant's name in the description text box.
Costos de Participación
Los costos de participación para el IIPE 2010 son de $750 USD.
Todos los costos deben ser cancelados en su totalidad para el día viernes 11 de junio, un mes antes de que empiece el evento del Instituto. Es necesario tener estos recursos previos a la fecha para asegurar las habitaciones y otras cuestiones importantes de logística. Travel Arrangements
Please complete the "travel and emergency contact form" by July 1. It is very important that we have this information so we can track your safe arrival to Cartagena; schedule transportation to/from the airport; list you properly in the program; and be prepared in case of any emergencies.
We encourage and prefer that you submit this information using our online form. Should you have difficulty using the online form you may also download and complete an MS Word version of the document and return it to us by email.

In making your travel arrangements you should fly into Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena (airport code CTG). You should plan to arrive in the morning or early afternoon of Sunday, July 11th (if your travel schedule permits). The program concludes after lunch on Saturday, July 17. You can schedule your return flight for any time after 4pm on Saturday, July 17.
Please note: The IIPE is a residential, community building, learning experience. The success of the IIPE is dependent upon the full participation of all of its members. Your acceptance for participation is contingent upon your commitment to attending the entire IIPE program (from July 11-17). If for some reason you are unable to attend for this entire period please contact the organizers immediately.
Transportation from the airport to the IIPE hotel will be provided on July 11 as well as return transportation on July 17. We will provide you with more specific details about these transportation arrangements and to ask you to provide us with your travel information.
Informal activities and registration for the IIPE will begin in the late afternoon of the 11th. If for any reason you must arrive a day or two early please contact the IIPE organizing team and we will send you a list of nearby hotel recommendations. You will be responsible for any additional accommodations prior to July 11 and after the IIPE starting July 17 .

Al hacer sus arreglos de viaje, tengan en cuenta organizar la llegada al Aeropuerto Internacional Rafael Núñez en Cartagena (código del aeropuerto CTG). Deben planear su llegada en la mañana o en la tarde del día domingo 11 de julio (si así lo permiten sus horarios de viaje). El programa termina después del almuerzo el día sábado 17 de julio. Por favor tener en cuenta: El IIPE es residencial, se construye en comunidad, es una experiencia de aprendizaje. El éxito del IIPE depende de la total participación de sus miembros. At this time we strongly urge you to begin investigating travel and visa arrangements. Should you discover a reasonable fare please share it with us so that we may share it with others. Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to investigate visa requirements. We know this can be a cumbersome process, and we are ready to support you in procuring your visa. Program
Each participant will be contacted directly by Janet Gerson, Education Director of the IIPE or a member of the IIPE Colombia planning team. They will be inviting each of you to contribute either a workshop or plenary presentation to the IIPE program based upon the experiences and suggestions you provided to us in your application. The due date to submit abstracts is Tuesday, June 1.

Programa
Cada participante será contactado directamente por Janet Gerson, Directora Pedagógica del IIPE y/o los miembros del equipo de planeación del IIPE en Colombia. Ellos estarán invitando a cada uno de ustedes a contribuir para el programa del IIPE, bien sea con una ponencia o con un taller, basados en experiencias y sugerencias escritas por ustedes en sus formatos de inscripción. Accommodations
All participants will be staying at the at the Hotel Capilla del Mar. The hotel is located on the Caribbean Sea in the touristic area in Bocagrande on Avenida del Malecon within a 5 minute drive form the walled city and only 10 minutes from the airport. All rooms are clean and comfortable and include air conditioning.
International participants will be booked in double rooms, however there are a few singles available at extra cost. If you require a single room please let us know by April 30 as our hold on extra single rooms will be released on that date.
A few of the sessions of the IIPE will also conveniently take place at the hotel.
Alojamiento
Todos los participantes serán hospedados en el Hotel Capilla del Mar. El hotel está ubicado a orillas del Mar Caribe en la zona turística de Bocagrande en la Avenida el Malecón, a 5 minutos en carro de la ciudad amurallada y tan sólo a 15 minutos del aeropuerto. Todas las habitaciones son muy confortables y tienen aire acondicionado.
Los participantes internacionales serán ubicados en habitaciones dobles, sin embargo hay algunas habitaciones individuales a un costo adicional. Si alguien necesita habitación individual, déjenos saber antes del 30 de abril ya que el cupo es limitado.
El evento se llevará a cabo en el Claustro de Santo Domingo. Por comodidad, algunas sesiones del IIPE serán en el hotel.
Legal Waiver
A signed “legal waiver” form is required from all participants by co-organizing institutions – it outlines our responsibilities to you and your responsibilities toward your own well-being. Please print and review this form. You may submit a signed copy of the form upon arrival to the IIPE. Please be advised, for liability reasons you will not be able to participate without signing the form.

Este formato destaca nuestras responsabilidades con ustedes y sus responsabilidades a favor de su propio bienestar. Por favor firmen y regresen el formato el formato de Matrícula Legal por correo. Está bien si entregan su formato de Matrícula Legal de forma directa a los organizadores en Cartagena, sin embargo, por favor tengan en cuenta que por razones de responsabilidad no serán aceptados para participar si no firman el formato.
