EXPERIENCE IN PEACE EDUCATION
Important Note: The following questions are designed to aid the organizers to learn about you in order to see how you might best be able to contribute to the program.
All participants contribute in some way to the program, providing perspectives on peace education practice from around the world. If you are accepted to the IIPE, the organizers will contact you about your possible contribution and will aid you in developing an interactive workshop or plenary presentation that constructively reflects the Institute theme and purposes. The IIPE is based on a Freirean model of reciprocal and participatory learning. Unlike traditional conferences, no “papers” are presented for either workshops or plenaries.

SCHOLARSHIP
Fees for “IIPE 2024: Nepal” are still be determined. We are working hard to find sources of funding and sponsors to underwrite portions of the budget. We will have better knowledge of external funding in early 2024 when we anticipate having responses from funders.
In the past, participation fees have ranged between $500-750 for the week long program (fees cover all costs for the week including food, lodging, excursions, local transportation, coffee breaks, and conference materials and supplies). A limited number of scholarships are typically available.
PLEASE NOTE: IIPE scholarships, if available, cover participation fees only. We are unable to provide travel assistance, so please plan on raising your own travel funds.
If fees are to be charged, please inform us if you will need scholarship assistance.(Required)
For those who may require it, we will send a link to a supplemental scholarship form.
You will be responsible for completing the additional scholarship application in order to be considered).
