I have been working in Turkey since 1989, at either the university level and/or under the broad umbrella of civil society; I established the first required program for Civic Participation at the university level in Turkey; I was the first Country Representative for Ashoka in Turkey. I was one of the Coordinators of IIPE 2004 in Istanbul:-) I am the founder of çöp(m)adam-, a social enterprise for women who have never worked for salary, making items out of throw-away materials for income generation. I took a break from cop(m)adam in 2017 and was Field Manager for Yuva Dernek, working near the Syrian Border with refugees; subsequently I worked with refugees on the Greek Island of Lesvos.   I've been a consultant in Lebanon, Afghanistan, The UAE and with UNDP in Turkey.

Estoy trabajando en Turquía desde 1989, ya sea en la universidad o bajo el ancho título de la sociedad civil - o los dos; Establecí el primer programa obligatorio de Participación Cívica a nivel universitario en Turquía; Fui el primer representante de país de Ashoka en Turquía. Fui una de las coordinadoras de IIPE 2004 en Estambul:-) Soy la fundadora de çöp(m)adam- una empresa social para mujeres que nunca han trabajado por sueldo, que fabrica artículos con materiales desechables para generar ingresos. Tomé un descanso de cop(m)adam en 2017 trabajando cerca de la frontera de Siria con refugiados; luego trabajé con refugiados en la isla Griega de Lesbos. He sido consultor en Líbano, Afganistán, los Emiratos Árabes Unidos y con el PNUD en Turquía.
