Come prepared to draw! This workshop will use the ocean as a metaphor to help us explore the challenges our communities face, along with the possible actions we can take to address those issues. Our goal is to work together to engage in creative problem solving, moving beyond the surface to understand the deep-seated structures and cultural attitudes that cause these issues

Vamos a dibujar! Este tallar usa el oceano como metaforo para ayudarnos a explorar los desafios de nuestras comunidades, y tambien acciones que podemos hacer para resolver eses problemas. Nuestra meta es trabajar juntes para resolver problemas en una manera creativa, dejando el superficie para comprender las estructuras y atitudes culturales profundas que causen eses problemas.

Heather Kertyzia is an Associate Professor of Peace Education at the University for Peace in Costa Rica. During the pandemic, she transitioned to remote work, and lives in Honduras, where she dedicates part of her time to restoring the coral reefs. She is also a facilitator for the Global Citizenship Academy, working with young people from around the world on their leadership skills.

Heather Kertyzia es una profesora de Educacion para la Paz en la Universidad para la Paz de Costa Rica. Durante la pandemia ella empezó a hacer trabajo en linea, y vive en Honduras, donde se dedica parte de su tiempo a la restauracion de las arecifes. Ella es tambien un facilitadora de la Academia de Ciudadaño Global, trabajando con jovenes de todos los partes del mundo en tecnicas de liderazgo.
