I am but a passionate peace advocate and professional looking for opportunities to expand my horizons as well as assist humanity in finding lasting solutions to the incessant crises rocking our planet.
If I could afford it I would come, but I know I can't, being just a civil servant in Nigeria and even the organization we have been working for more than a year, is on a volunteer basis. In fact, I went back to school to study Diploma in Criminology as well as Postgraduate Diploma in Safety and Security Studies because of the organization I am working for as Coordinating Secretary, just to enable me perform my duties effectively and efficiently. The organization, Minna Metro Peace and Security Network has about 16 members with it's framework. About 8 of us felt the need to learn more about security and peace, 2 were already enrolled as International Security Experts, the remaining 6 all went to study Diploma in Criminology and Post Graduate Diploma in Safety and Security Studies so that we can better contribute to the security situation of our communities.
To every general rule, are exceptions. I hope I am the exception to your organization's general rule of offering me full return ticket scholarship as well as conference fees and a little allowance. It will be worth it. For humanity's sake.
Thank you.

I want to attend the 2024 IIPE in Nepal to expand my knowledge and learn new pedagogies of peace education. Still, I will have difficulty participating in the program without a full scholarship because I currently have no salary from my institution since I am on study leave. My side hustle income is enough to cover the family expenses since I am the family's breadwinner. The full scholarship will greatly help me achieve my goal of becoming an effective peace educator. If granted a full scholarship to attend the 2024 IIPE, I will use my small savings and seek additional funding from my institution and other government agencies to support my travel expenses to Nepal. I hope to avail myself of the full scholarship from IIPE. Thank you.

In my application I indicated that I require full scholarship. I still do, but I can exhaust my resources so I can pay at least half of the participant fees because I truly want to join the convention. I know it will be helpful for our school, our community, and our beneficiaries. I live in the Philippines which is a developing country and as a teacher and principal, we only earn so much (around 250-300 USD a month). The full scholarship will be very helpful in our Peace Education program and granted that I get a full scholarship or even half, I can use the money I have left to jumpstart the program. I hope you consider my situation. Thank you so much.

Its me Srijana Timilsina from Western Nepal a Nurse, Psychosocial Counselor and Nonviolence Communication practitioner continuously sharing and practicing the principles of Nonviolence to develop empathic connection and to create a culture of peace and nonviolence in Schools and communities of Nepal. Working as a teacher staying in a rented place away from family and paying for my kids tuition fee is already more than challenging for me. So to be true I cannot afford the money in cash but if it can be doable with other forms of payment by sharing it to schools and communities, I am open and excited for the learning and yes I can contribute with the translation of resources in Nepali language, share it mor in schools and communities- if it make sense I would love to hear how it lands on you. Thankyou sorry for delayed response,

In my financial situation, my family faces economic challenges with an annual income below the national average. As the sole breadwinner, my parents struggle to cover basic living expenses, making it difficult to afford higher education. Despite these financial constraints, I have consistently excelled academically, maintaining a high GPA and actively participating in extracurricular activities. This scholarship would alleviate the financial burden on my family and enable me to pursue my educational goals, contributing positively to both my personal growth and the community.

I am a private school teacher and foynder/CEO of a non-profit organization (Association for Peace Education and Empowerment -APEE). Generally, I use my monthly income to finance the activities of APEE, leaving me with financial constraints, coupled with family and personal bills to handle.

Since 2015, after returning back to my hometown, I have been engaged in voluntary work and some research engagements. In 2017 July, I signed a contract with Henry Martyn Institute, Hyderabad as Part time Regional Consultant. The contract ended in September 2023. Since then, I am not engaged with any particular organization. So, without sponsorship, I will not be able to attend IIPE Nepal.
